Just wanted to let you know how it is going for me. It's been about six months now and I am proud to say that after I left the session with you I have not put another nail in my coffin, whereas I was up to 1.5 packs a day.

This year has been quite interesting as I have gone through a corporate merger. Let's just say it's been interesting at work... I'll leave it at that.

I have made a few attempts at quitting and had limited success after smoking for nearly 40 years. When I quit with your program I am, in my mind's eye an X- smoker that would be ok with having a smoke. On every other attempt I was a smoker with a monkey on my back dangling a pack of Marlboro lights in front of me. There is a huge difference between knowing that you are a smoker and knowing you just rose above it!!! No more shortness of breath, smelly clothes or ash tray breath. It's cool to have my sense of smell back.

Just wanted to touch bases back with you after being hypnotized by you to "not smoke" back on June 7th, 2005. After smoking approximately 2 packs a day for 41 years.... and NEVER attempting to quit.....I decided to try hypnosis, 'cause I was POSITIVE I would not even come close to success without some form of "cheating".

Oh yeah, also I AM NOT crabby with people smoking around me. Good Morning Barry,

I just wanted to drop you a note and say thanks. This is a very major life change and I appreciate the role you played in making my smoking go away. 

It has been a little difficult since Saturday. I seem to think a little too much about the physical act but thankfully I do not seem to think about the chemical portion. I do think about “going outside” or “getting in the car” but like we discussed, it goes away. I am now trying to learn it is good to go outside and that is perfectly enjoyable without a cigarette.

Hello Barry, just thought I might update you now that we are approaching the half way point between sessions. 

Everything is going very well!!! We can really tell our desire for certain foods has diminished (me-sweets, breads, potatoes, rice) and our portions have dwindled. We are exercising regularly. The hardest thing has been not to expect too much too soon. 

We have given into the scale a couple of times but the weight is decreasing and we have given into temptation a couple of times but we are trying to use those experiences as learning tools and use them to see what we were thinking at those occurrences.

Hi Barry...

Wanted to get back with you about our Monday session. I've been very happy with our results.
I went directly to Souper Salads with my co-workers to try it out.

While I can't say that salad is as good as a steak, I can say that it wasn't an unpleasant taste to me. I don't know if you know how ingrained I've been against salad. I really mean it when I say that I've never eaten one.
I actually had two plates full. As for the baked potato, it didn't even occur to me to eat one.

I think my friends would have paid your fee just to watch me eat a salad for the first time. People that I work with know for a fact that I never eat salad or many vegetables. So here we sat, everyone watching me take bites of it.
Asking impatiently, "Well, how is it?", "Are you OK with it?" Even more funny was me getting in line to build a salad. I felt like a 5 year old with his mother at the salad bar for the first time. I honestly didn't know how to put one together.  I had to watch the person in front of me to get the idea. Just put a bunch of leaves on a plate then put some things you might like on them. True to our conversation, I put different dressings on different parts of the first plate just to see which I would like better.

My wife didn't get to see this little comedy hour. She had to wait until yesterday. I got a couple of tacos at taco bell...with vegetables. She waited until I had taken several bites of the whole thing before focusing on her food, because she was watching me.

It's funny as hell, but it's wonderful. As you said, about taking 2 weeks to a month to firmly implant new habits, I'm looking forward to continuing this habit. I can't see why it would regress, so I think it will only get better.

I've given several people here at the office, your website address. Don't know if you'll see a lot of activity from it, but it sure won't be because I didn't have success.

There are many reasons why people may not remember something. It could involve childhood amnesia, physical trauma, drugs or the natural decay of stored information. The number one way to trigger recall is by strong associations, especially emotions. Memories associated with emotions are enhanced.

Some of our memories are true, some are a mixture of fact and fantasy, and some are false. The only way to distinguish between true and false memories is by external corroboration.

Hypnosis can help you recall past events and stored information. It is important that the hypnotist only guide the recall and not do anything to implant memories in the client's mind. Only you can validate the information that you receive.

Sleep Disturbances

Sleep is vital to our health, happiness and the ability to succeed in life. How well we function in our daily lives is dependent on how well we meet our bodies' needs for rest and quality sleep. Sleeplessness is self-destructive and going without sleep is not an option.

Tooth grinding is the clenching together of the bottom and upper jaw accompanied by the grinding of the lower set of teeth with the upper set.
